Bolt Action “Nisei and British” Update 2

This is the final update for these models, and I have to admit, at first I did not like these colors. A Khaki and Tan, with a one off Olive Green… the only thing that ties it all together is black, which goes with everything really, but I thought it would be too monochrome.

However, after painting them exactly as they are on the box and holding them, I like the look. It is very functional, and realistic looking. I did make their skin slightly darker since this was a unit of Japanese Americans who only fought together in WWII I believe. This was a unit that I had never heard of prior, and I did a little research on their choice of weapons and what not.

Bolt Action British Command

This group of Bolt Action models were fun to paint, and like many historical armies have fewer colors that are there for contrast. These colors were meant to be function, and as close to their likeness in the real world from that time.

I did make the most senior among them a lot more white haired than the others in the group as if he is the highest ranking officer, and probably the only one with more than 25 years of service in the group.

The client is doing the basing since they did not come with a square or round base. Here is a video for them… sorry for the shaky cam. lol

Cygnar and Mercs Update 6

This is Rhupert Carvolo who is a Merc, and was a fun model to paint. I do not know what he does in game, but he makes me want to get him just for his pipes!!

The plaid pattern was fun to do and way easier than I thought it was going to be. When I do my studio Trollbloods I will have to use that technique on them for sure.

Bolt Action “Nisei and British” Update 1

Heya guys this is going to be a TT level painted bunch of miniatures. These are going to be painted to historical colors… and while researching how they were armed and what colors they were, I found a ton of very interesting information on this very historical unit in the US history.

I would suggest looking it up if you have never heard of this Nisei unit prior.

My Little Daemons Update 3

This is the Rainbow Dash Blood Thirster, lol, and to be honest I like the blue and the earth tones a lot. The multi-colored hair doesn’t look as bad as I was fearing it would either in truth.

I personally would not want my own army in this theme, but it has opened my eyes to this ice blue on these older Khorne models.

For having pewter wings, he goes together well, the hardest part was the chest area, which I had to leave at a strange angle, before I went to bed and finished the model the next day.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed these three so far, and I look forward over the next month or so when more from this client get shipped to me.

My Little Daemons Update 2

This is the Applejack Daemon Prince, which is the Nurgle Daemon Prince specifically. I think this is a very cool model, and I look forward to doing a the next HQ which is a Pink Pie or Slaanesh Daemon Prince, but that is off in the future.

Part of the difficulty with this model was getting it bright enough while keeping it brown, I used yellow as the brighter color, but I did not want to make it too yellow at the same time. It think I did the right mix for this model.
